Where will the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 be held?
The 34 sports will be held in various sports venues in and near Cologne. Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 has taken up the cause of becoming games of short distances. The goal is to hold (almost) all sports within short distances and accessible with public transportation. This allows athletes to also watch other sports and spectators to travel between venues. About 50% of sports will take place at the Sportpark Müngersdorf. Sports such as e.g. volleyball will be held at the nearby triple gymnasiums. Another venue will be the lake Fühlinger See. In addition, the "Gay Games Centre", which connects the venues (Sportpark Müngersdorf) with the city centre and the gay-lesbian nightlife district, features 3 "Gay Games stations". Everybody will be able to meet here: at the Aachener Weiher, the Rudolfplatz and the Neumarkt.

What does "outreach" mean?
An important part of the Gay Games has always been the so-called "outreach program". Its aim is to enable at least some of those gays and lesbians to participate in the Gay Games, who would, because of the general political conditions in their home countries, their financial situation or due to the lack of national organisations in their home countries, otherwise not be able to participate.
The outreach program offers financial and logistic support to guarantee a diverse group of Gay Games participants.
