The bridge competition is being held at Wolkenburg, a beautiful baroque building near the Neumarkt in the center of Cologne. The building has a long history, beginning in the 12th century when the location was a monastery. The current structure dates from the early 1700s and was completely restored after being destroyed in World War II. The building now hosts major events, weddings and formal gatherings.

Wolkenburg is within easy walking distance from Neumarkt, by walking west along Hahnenstrasse toward Rudolfplatz, and turning left on Mauritiussteinweg. Walk 325 meters along Mauritiussteinweg, past Mauritius Church and the small square, to Wolkenburg, which is on the right side of the street 50 meters from the church.

From Rudolfsplatz, walk east on Hahnenstrasse to Mauritiussteinweg and turn right, then follow the above directions.

From other areas of the city, or to get even closer by public transportation, take U-9, direction Sülz, or connect to U-9 at Neumarkt. The next stop is Mauritiuskirche, exit the train and cross the square, continuing down Mauritiussteinweg 50 meters to Wolkenburg, on the right side of the street.
