VIII. Gay Games Cologne 2010

Powerlifting - perhaps the “weightiest” sport of the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010.

The competition will be held in the track gymnasium of the Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln. The gymnasium is located at the Sportpark Muengersdorf, the major hub for sports at the Cologne Gay Games.

In Powerlifting, men and women will compete to lift as much weight as possible in the three disciplines: squat; bench; and deadlift. Divided into eleven weight classes from 56 kg to over 125 kg, the men are then divided into six age groups (juniors to masters over 70 years). The women’s competition features ten weight classes from 48 kg to over 90 kg with six age groups.
