Music Under the Rainbow
Under the musical direction of Thomas Krause and the business direction of the founder Werner Schramm, the Rainbow Symphony Cologne has expanded its repertoire to include classical and romantic symphonic works as well as chamber music and popular classics.
From the outset, the RSC has been looking forward to playing a role in this year’s Gay Games. The opening ceremony in the RheinEnergie Stadium will be the first to be accompanied by a live symphonic orchestra. Among the pieces the orchestra will be performing is the “Rainbow Prelude” composed by Andreas N. Tarkmann and dedicated to the Rainbow Symphony Cologne.
In addition, the Chamber Orchestra of the Gay Games Cologne will perform at the gala concert in the Cologne University of Music and Dance on August 5.
