Livestreaming the 2010 Gay Games!
AfterEllen will be streaming some of the competitions including In-line Skating, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Soccer, and Wrestling.
Hosting the livestream will be comedian Bridget McManus.
She'll also be sending live reports from Triumph & Temptations Party, Women Place
(the official info and meeting point) and, of course, the OML Theatre Nights.

WomenPlace – the chill out meeting point at the Neumarkt
Right in the heart of Cologne (Rudolfplatz till Neumarkt) the Gay Games Village stretches out, where participants can meet to exchange news about the games – or just meet new acquaintances.

The event tent has a lot to offer and wil entice visitors each day with DJanes like Short Nails alias Chantal Fletcher, Kitty Atomic, Miss Stereo, Anja Base, FaSpielt, Djane N.O.A. In addition, there will be awesome lectures with Anne Bax, Andrea Karimé, Bettina Isabel Rocha, Diana Knezevic & Marion Scholz, Brigitte Bialojahn.

The Cologne artist Gerda Laufenberg has created a colorful and cheerful design especially for the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010. Here, sports, music and art take place in the shadow of the dome.
The design will be sold as a limited edition as a mug. Gerda Laufenberg will sign your mug on Tuesday, August 3 from 5 pm at the WomenPlace.
You will be musically delighted by the Samba group “Quuerelas” on August 1 from 5 pm.
The WomenPlace also is a meeting place for the world famous lesbian media site “AfterEllen” which will broadcast live in the USA each evening from there with the presenter Bridget McManus in cooperation with Onemorelesbian and EurOut. German and various other international magazines will also be present. An official Meet & Greet for all fans of this media site and Bridget McManus takes place on August 4 at 3 pm.
In the culinary area, there´s something for everyone. Delightful meals and drinks, groovy cocktails, and reasonable prices will welcome the visitors and make them want to stay. The kitchen is open all day for the hungry, starting with breakfast. And your friends are welcome as well – we don´t exclude anybody.
