As volunteer you can reach for the stars
Who doesn´t want to reach for the stars once in their life. The Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 offer you one of the few possibilities to do just that.
What you have to do? Take part, have fun, be part of a unique event. That´s all it takes.
The unique event is, of course, the upcoming Gay Games. For years, numerous volunteers have planned and organized the Gay Games with great commitment. On July, 31 2010 the Gay Games will be declared open at the opening ceremony at the RheinEnergieStadium.
Then it gets serious. We are convinced that the Gay Games will be a success. To make this event run as smoothly as possible, we are still looking for helping hands. Around 3,000 hands, or rather 1,500 volunteers have registered already. But, 1,000 more volunteers are still needed. For cultural events, guest care, and accreditation of the participants, as ushers and and and….
Jobs that are still available can be found at our homepage www.games-cologne.de. For the first time in the history of the Gay Games, you can register as a group if you want to share shifts with friends.

You not only have the chance to meet and work alongside people from the area but from over 70 countries. And for one of you it will be “up to the stars.”

And, who knows, if you don’t already have your personal star at your side, you might even meet him/her at the Gay Games working as a volunteer. You can immediately start your trip to the stars together.

The fun begins for volunteers before the Gay Games even begins! On July 24, the volunteers are invited as VIPs to chill out on the Beach Boat Cologne and following that to the Volunteer Party at the “Bootshaus”. Free entrance and a VIP lounge will put you in a feel-good mood.
