The Gay Games are marked by athletic tournaments and cultural events. Fans, friends, family, and visitors will also find many other options. Those wishing to escape the medal fever for a little while will here find the opportunity to discover Cologne and its surrounding region. Experience culture, nature and sports in the diversity of Cologne!

Take a journey through the city’s rich history, the gay-lesbian Cologne, through parks and gardens and of course the cathedral. Whether by foot, bike or the bus: experience the city and its history and many stories.

The surrounding area, too, offers many options for relaxing. Discover the European Capital of Culture, castles and hills, churches and villages, narrow alleyways and wide views: by foot, by motorcycle or by bus.

Those seeking athleticism, wanting to try something new or rediscover the familiar can look forward to sports workshops. No competitive stress, but serenity, focus, silence and action – there’s something for everyone.

But there’s more – from the cinema night and lectures to church offerings. Be inspired and browse through the many facets of the social program.

Please note the following:

• The list of activities will continue to grow. Keep checking in to keep up to date.
• Register online now to assure your place at these activities. The number of participants is limited. After the maximum number of participants has been reached, registration and participation will be closed.
• Register online or at the village during the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010. The venue does not offer the option to purchase tickets.
• When cashed, you will be given a barcode. Please, print it out and present it at the announced meeting point of the respective event.
• The fixtures are reliable and will not be altered. Just come to your meeting point, without receiving any further notice coming from us.
• Please note the 5/01/2010 registration deadline for some events!
• Up to 3.- EUR of each ticket purchase will go to the outreach program. More information about the outreach program is available here [3].
